The NHS, or National Health Service, is the publicly funded healthcare system in the United Kingdom. It provides comprehensive healthcare services, including medical treatment, primary care, hospital care, and public health initiatives, to all residents of the UK, regardless of their ability to pay, based on the principles of equity and universal access to healthcare.

In light of recent global health crises, the system has had to adapt and respond to new challenges. For instance, the UK Government’s latest measures to help businesses survive COVID-19 have played an essential role in supporting healthcare facilities and professionals during unprecedented times.
