We spoke with Sally Otto about how WriteUpp has helped her run her business.
Sally is a CBT and EMDR therapist working in private practice. She worked in the NHS for over twelve years before setting up her practice primarily as a CBT therapist.
She graduated from Bangor University in 2018 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Mindfulness-Based Approaches. More recently, she qualified as an EMDR practitioner, having trained with the EMDR Academy UK. EMDR is recommended as a treatment for PTSD; it is also beneficial in other disorders associated with traumatic onset.
Sally’s background in psychology and counselling includes an additional seven years of therapeutic experience in various settings, including GP surgeries, residential treatment units and voluntary organisations.
To organise the day-to-day administrative tasks of running my business, especially note-taking, appointment reminders and invoicing.
WriteUpp is the only practice management software I have used in private practice.
After researching the available packages, I found WriteUpp offered everything I needed at a reasonable price.
The decision was relatively easy; the trial period and support from WriteUpp staff really helped.
WriteUpp is easy to use and removes the need to keep paper notes. Invoicing is easy; invoices can be submitted electronically through PPR or emailed to patients.
Patients receive email reminders of their appointments, too.
I enjoy the feeling that everything is organised, and monthly financial forecasts and reports keep the business side of things in focus (as a therapist, I can lose sight of these things relatively easily!)
It’s so easy to submit invoices to insurers through the Healthcode integration.
The support staff are always helpful when needed, and there are constant updates to the system.
